DurtNurds

So the idea for DurtNurds came about basically as a joke. A few of us had just ridden a trail and met some other dudes ridding..as we tried to talk with them we realized they seemed to be judging us based on our gear, dress, and our apparent overall appearance. As they rode off I told a buddy...wow we are outcast among other Mountain Bikers. So I coined the term that we where DurtNurds..it kinda stuck..so we decided we may form a bike club called DurtNurds..I belonged to a bike team here years ago that seemed to have a lot of elitist attitude in it and it began to turn me off of cycling..I left the club after a few bad experiences and flew solo...while going solo had its advantages I realized a few things about this sport...there are people out there that want and have the desire to ride...but do not know where to began..and because of the fear of being judged..or intimidation..that spark dies out...Welcome to DurtNurds..if you stumble across this blog..and want to ride, live in North Texas..follow, contact..and come ride with us sometime, hang out, talk bikes and stuff..and be yourself and have fun.
